Illinois High School Basketball - Vandalia nips Farina South Central
December 5, 2023: Vandalia, IL 62471 Vandalia Vandals (Vandalia, IL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Farina South Central Cougars (Farina, IL), 40-38 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Vandalia upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Vandals travel to Carlinville (Carlinville, IL) to play the Cavaliers in a South Central bout on Friday, December 8. The Cavaliers come into the bout with a record of 1-3. Carlinville lost 49-44 in their recent non-league bout against SIUE East St. Louis Charter (East St. Louis, IL)
Next up, the Cougars confront the Altamont Indians (Altamont, IL) in a National Trail challenge, on Friday, December 8. Farina South Central will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 56-46 non-league loss to Newton (Newton, IL).
