California High School Basketball - Golden Valley holds off Ripon
December 5, 2023: Ripon, CA 95366 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Golden Valley Cougars (Merced, CA) and the host Ripon Indians (Ripon, CA), saw Golden Valley's basketball squad hold off Ripon by a tally of 42-41.
With the victory, Golden Valley improves its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Downey (Modesto, CA) to confront the Knights in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 7. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 2-2. Downey lost 35-30 in their recent non-league challenge against Enochs (Modesto, CA)
Next up, the Indians confront the Sierra Timberwolves (Manteca, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 6. Ripon will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Timberwolves come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 45-38 non-league loss to Tracy (Tracy, CA).
