Florida High School Basketball - Gainesville Christian Community topped by Cedar Key
December 5, 2023: Cedar Key, FL 32625 The Cedar Key Sharks basketball team scored 54 points and restricted the visiting Gainesville Christian Community Warriors to 34 in the Sharks non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Sharks now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Branford for a non-league contest on Friday, December 8. Cedar Key will battle a Buccaneers team coming off a 61-41 non-league loss to Aucilla Christian (Monticello, FL). The Buccaneers record now stands at 1-4.
The Warriors (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Open Bible Christian (Valdosta, GA). The come into the Southeastern Christian contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Open Bible Christian prevailed over Northside Christian Academy (Starke, FL), 50-14, in a league contest.
