Alabama High School Basketball - Deshler overwhelms Russellville
December 5, 2023: Russellville, AL 35653 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Deshler Tigers (Tuscumbia, AL) and the host Russellville Golden Tigers (Russellville, AL), saw Deshler's basketball squad wallop Russellville by a tally of 68-40.
With the victory, Deshler improves its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Central (Florence, AL) to play the Wildcats in a 4A Area 16 challenge on Friday, December 8. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 4-2. Central won 55-46 in their recent league challenge against Wilson (Florence, AL)
Next up, the Golden Tigers play the Brewer Patriots (Somerville, AL) in a 5A Area 15 challenge, on Friday, December 8. Russellville will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 7-6 record after their 53-35 non-league loss to Decatur (Decatur, AL).
