December 5, 2024: Vernon, AL 35592 The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Northside Rams (Northport, AL) and the host Lamar County Bulldogs (Vernon, AL), observed Northside's basketball team overwhelm Lamar County by a score of 76-44.
The Rams (10-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Sipsey Valley (Buhl, AL). The Bears come into the 5A Area 9 challenge with a 4-5 record. In their last challenge, Sipsey Valley trounced American Christian Academy (Tuscaloosa, AL), 73-36, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Sulligent Blue Devils (Sulligent, AL) in a 2A Area 10 challenge, on Friday, December 6. Lamar County will attempt to improve on its 0-9 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 71-64 non-league win over Marion County (Guin, AL).
