Iowa High School Basketball - North Cedar trounced by Columbus
December 5, 2024: Columbus Junction, IA 52738 Columbus Wildcats (Columbus Junction, IA) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting North Cedar Knights (Stanwood, IA), 54-13 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Columbus advances its record to 3-0 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Hillcrest Academy (Kalona, IA) to face the Ravens in a SEI - North match on Friday, December 6. The Ravens enter the match with a record of 2-1. Hillcrest Academy lost 60-40 in their recent league match against Highland (Riverside, IA)
The Knights now own a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Calamus-Wheatland for a non-league match on Tuesday, December 10. North Cedar will face a Warriors squad coming off a 66-29 non-league loss to Northeast (Goose Lake, IA). The Warriors record now stands at 3-2.
