California High School Basketball - King City holds off Morro Bay
December 5, 2025: King City, CA 93930 The King City Mustangs basketball team scored 53 points and limited the visiting Morro Bay Pirates to 49 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.
The Mustangs now have a 3-1 record. They play next when they host Harbor for a non-league game on Saturday, December 6. King City will confront a Pirates team coming off a 55-45 non-league win over University Prep Academy (San Jose, CA). The Pirates record now stands at 3-0.
With the loss, Morro Bay falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Lompoc (Lompoc, CA) to confront the Braves in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 9. The Braves go into the game with a record of 1-2. Lompoc won 71-57 in their recent non-league game against Morro Bay (Morro Bay, CA)
