The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Palmetto Ridge Bears (Naples, FL) and the visiting Gateway Eagles (Fort Myers, FL), observed Palmetto Ridge's basketball team overcome Gateway by a score of 68-48.

The Bears (5-0) will now prepare for their battle against Immokalee (Immokalee, FL). The Indians enter the non-league battle with a 1-0 record.

The Eagles now own a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dunbar for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 11. Gateway will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 64-56 non-league win over Oasis (Cape Coral, FL). The Tigers record now stands at 1-1.
