Mt. Zion Prep Academy Warriors (Lanham, MD) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Avalon Black Knights (Wheaton, MD), 64-59 in a league bout.

With the win, Mt. Zion Prep Academy upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Warriors travel to Riverdale Baptist (Upper Marlboro, MD) to play the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Crusaders go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Riverdale Baptist won 82-58 in their recent non-league bout against Bard (Washington, DC)

Next up, the Black Knights play the Seton Conquistadors (Manassas, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Avalon will attempt to move on its 0-4 season record.
