Ohio High School Basketball - Canton South tops Minerva
December 6, 2022: Canton, OH 44707 Canton South Wildcats (Canton, OH) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Minerva Lions (Minerva, OH), 48-40 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Canton South upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Tuslaw (Massillon, OH) to play the Mustangs in a Principals bout on Friday, December 9. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 0-4. Tuslaw lost 64-30 in their recent non-league bout against Chippewa (Doylestown, OH)
Next up, the Lions play the Salem Quakers (Salem, OH) in a Eastern Buckeye bout, on Friday, December 9. Minerva will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Quakers come into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 63-59 non-league win over Springfield (New Middletown, OH).
