December 6, 2022: West Frankfort, IL 62896 Frankfort Redbirds (West Frankfort, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Christopher Bearcats (Christopher, IL), 44-27 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Frankfort upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Redbirds host Harrisburg (Harrisburg, IL) to play the Bulldogs in a Southern Illinois River-to-River - Ohio bout on Friday, December 9. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 2-3. Harrisburg won 62-36 in their recent non-league bout against Hardin County (Elizabethtown, IL)
Next up, the Bearcats play the Woodlawn Cardinals (Woodlawn, IL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 9. Christopher will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 1-4 record after their 51-49 non-league win over Okawville (Okawville, IL).
