December 6, 2022: Crane, MO 65633 Mt. Vernon Mountaineers (Mt. Vernon, MO) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Crane Pirates (Crane, MO), 55-40 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Mt. Vernon upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Mountaineers host Cassville (Cassville, MO) to clash with the Wildcats in a Big 8 bout on Friday, December 9. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Cassville won 52-41 in their recent non-league bout against Purdy (Purdy, MO)
Next up, the Pirates clash with the St. Elizabeth Hornets (St. Elizabeth, MO) in a non-league bout, on Sunday, December 11. Crane will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 66-64 non-league loss to Macks Creek (Macks Creek, MO).
