Michigan High School Basketball - Marcellus can't hold off Lawton

December 6, 2022: Marcellus, MI 49067

The Lawton Blue Devils basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Marcellus Wildcats to 48 in the Blue Devils non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Blue Devils now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kalamazoo Christian for a Southwestern - Valley contest on Friday, December 9. Lawton will battle a Comets team coming off a 72-66 non-league win over Portage Northern (Portage, MI). The Comets record now stands at 1-0.

The Wildcats (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Bloomingdale (Bloomingdale, MI). The Cardinals enter the Southwest 10 contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Bloomingdale was nudged by Countryside Academy (Benton Harbor, MI), 53-45, in a non-league contest.
