Kansas High School Basketball - Metro Academy topped by Shawnee Mission South
December 6, 2022: Shawnee Mission, KS 66207 The Shawnee Mission South Raiders basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the visiting Metro Academy Mavericks to 39 in the Raiders non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Raiders now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Olathe West for a Sunflower contest on Friday, December 9. Shawnee Mission South will battle a Owls team coming off a 78-65 non-league win over Lawrence Free State (Lawrence, KS). The Owls record now stands at 3-0.
The Mavericks (8-3) will now prepare for their contest against St. Mary's Academy (St. Marys, KS). The Crusaders come into the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, St. Mary's Academy was defeated by Topeka (Topeka, KS), 61-48, in a non-league contest.
