Trigg County Wildcats (Cadiz, KY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Union County Braves (Morganfield, KY), 78-62 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Trigg County upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Livingston Central (Smithland, KY) to clash with the Cardinals in a District 5 bout on Friday, December 9. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 2-3. Livingston Central lost 87-40 in their recent league bout against Lyon County (Eddyville, KY)

Next up, the Braves clash with the Dawson Springs Panthers (Dawson Springs, KY) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 8. Union County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
