North Carolina High School Basketball - Parkland can't hold off Atkins

The Atkins Camels basketball team scored 59 points and held the visiting Parkland Mustangs to 52 in the Camels non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Camels now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ben L. Smith for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 8. Atkins will battle a Golden Eagles team coming off a 62-54 non-league win over Southern Durham (Durham, NC). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 3-0.

The Mustangs (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against North Forsyth (Winston-Salem, NC). The Vikings enter the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, North Forsyth nudged West Forsyth (Clemmons, NC), 99-40, in a non-league contest.
