Arkansas High School Basketball - Mena tops Ashdown
December 6, 2023: Mena, AR 71953 Spectators at Wednesday's non-league test between the Mena Bearcats (Mena, AR) and the visiting Ashdown Panthers (Ashdown, AR), witnessed Mena's basketball squad topple Ashdown by a margin of 50-39.
The Bearcats (2-5) will now prepare for their test against Wright City (Wright City, OK). The Lumberjax go into the non-league test with a 7-1 record. In their last test, Wright City notched a victory over Horatio (Horatio, AR), 79-11, in a non-league test.
The Panthers now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Watson Chapel for a non-league outing on Friday, December 8. Ashdown will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 44-40 non-league win over Hot Springs (Hot Springs, AR). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-3.
