North Carolina High School Basketball - East Rutherford can't hold off Mountain Island Charter

December 6, 2023: Forest City, NC 28018

The Mountain Island Charter Raptor basketball team scored 77 points and restricted the host East Rutherford Cavaliers to 76 in the Raptor non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Raptor now sport a 6-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Community School of Davidson for a 1A/2A Catawba Shores contest on Friday, December 8. Mountain Island Charter will battle a Spartans team coming off a 66-46 non-league win over Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 4-1.

The Cavaliers (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Stuart W. Cramer (Belmont, NC). The Storm come into the non-league contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Stuart W. Cramer edged East Lincoln (Denver, NC), 57-49, in a non-league contest.
