The Vanguard Knights basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Lake Weir Hurricanes to 43 in the Knights non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Knights now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wekiva for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 9. Vanguard will meet a Mustangs team coming off a 58-41 non-league loss to Windermere (Windermere, FL). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-5.

The Hurricanes (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against North Marion (Citra, FL). The Colts enter the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, North Marion ran past Dunnellon (Dunnellon, FL), 44-31, in a non-league contest.
