The Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC) basketball knocked off the host Madison Patriots (Marshall, NC), 81-72 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Wolverines (1-3) will now prepare for their test against Landrum (Landrum, SC). The Cardinals go into the non-league test with a 5-2 record. In their last test, Landrum notched a victory over Fountain Inn (Fountain Inn, SC), 66-65, in a non-league test.

The Patriots now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they host East Henderson for a non-league test on Friday, December 8. Madison will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 58-55 non-league loss to Enka (Enka, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 3-1.
