Georgia High School Basketball - Alcovy holds off Jasper County
December 6, 2024: Monticello, GA 31064 In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Alcovy Tigers basketball team scored a close 56-52 triumph over the Jasper County Hurricanes.
The Tigers (8-2) will now prepare for their contest against Clarke Central (Athens, GA). The Gladiators go into the AAAAA Region 8 contest with a 0-7 record. In their last contest, Clarke Central was tipped by Buford (Buford, GA), 72-41, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Hurricanes confront the Eastside Eagles (Covington, GA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 7. Jasper County will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 3-4 record after their 65-57 league loss to Cedar Shoals (Athens, GA).
