Canyon Cowboys (Canyon Country, CA) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host West Ranch Wildcats (Valencia, CA), 65-62 in a league match.

With the victory, Canyon advances its record to 7-1 on the year. The Cowboys travel to Damien (La Verne, CA) to meet the Spartans in a non-league match on Monday, December 9. The Spartans enter the match with a record of 8-2. Damien lost 62-54 in their recent non-league match against Poly (Riverside, CA)

The Wildcats now own a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Saugus for a Foothill match on Tuesday, December 10. West Ranch will meet a Centurions squad coming off a 58-55 league loss to Valencia (Valencia, CA). The Centurions record now stands at 2-4.
