Louisiana High School Basketball - St. Edmund can't hold off Hackberry
December 6, 2024: Hackberry, LA 70645 Hackberry Mustangs (Hackberry, LA) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays (Eunice, LA), 38-37 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Hackberry advances its record to 5-7 on the year. The Mustangs host Evans (Evans, LA) to face the Eagles in a non-league match on Monday, December 9. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 1-9. Evans lost 67-44 in their recent non-league match against Grand Lake (Lake Charles, LA)
The Fighting Blue Jays now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Port Barre for a non-league match on Tuesday, December 10. St. Edmund will face a Red Devils squad coming off a 44-38 non-league loss to Opelousas Catholic (Opelousas, LA). The Red Devils record now stands at 2-2.
