Arkansas High School Basketball - Izard County holds off Subiaco Academy
December 6, 2024: Brockwell, AR 72517 The Izard County Cougars basketball team scored 54 points and limited the visiting Subiaco Academy Trojans to 53 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Friday.
The Cougars now have a 4-0 record. They play next when they host Paragould for a non-league game on Saturday, December 7. Izard County will confront a Rams team coming off a 59-14 non-league loss to Jonesboro (Jonesboro, AR). The Rams record now stands at 1-3.
With the loss, Subiaco Academy falls to 5-3 on the campaign. The Trojans host Lamar (Lamar, AR) to confront the Warriors in a 3A Region 4 game on Tuesday, December 10. The Warriors go into the game with a record of 7-0. Lamar won 59-50 in their recent non-league game against Ozark (Ozark, AR)
