In Friday's non-league test, the Vela Sabercats (Edinburg, TX) basketball squad trounced the visiting Laredo LBJ Wolves (Laredo, TX), by a score of 56-29.

Next, the Sabercats encounter the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial Wolverines (Alamo, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 31 test, on Tuesday, December 10.
