In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Corvian Community Cardinals football squad scored a close 14-7 victory over the Mount Airy Granite Bears.

The Cardinals (14-0) will now prepare for their match against Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC). The Cougars enter the non-league match with a 12-0 record. In their last match, Mountain Heritage got by Murphy (Murphy, NC), 26-8, in a non-league match.
