North Carolina High School Basketball - Central Academy routed by Highland Tech

December 6, 2024: Monroe, NC 28112

Highland Tech Rams (Gastonia, NC) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Central Academy Cougars (Monroe, NC), 35-14 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Highland Tech advances its record to 4-2 on the year. The Rams travel to North Gaston (Dallas, NC) to face the Wildcats in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 10. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 1-5. North Gaston won 46-34 in their recent non-league match against East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC)

The Cougars now own a 0-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Union Academy for a non-league match on Tuesday, December 10. Central Academy will face a Cardinals squad coming off a 73-33 non-league win over Montgomery Central (Troy, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 4-0.
