In Friday's non-league contest, the host Northside - Jacksonville Monarchs basketball team scored a good 51-34 triumph over the Topsail Pirates.

The Monarchs (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against South Central (Winterville, NC). The Falcons go into the non-league contest with a 3-0 record.

In their next game, the Pirates battle the New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, December 10. Topsail will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record. The Wildcats go into the contest with a 1-0 record after their 58-31 non-league win over Wilmington Christian Academy (Wilmington, NC).
