The Cascade Cougars basketball team scored 57 points and limited the host Hempstead Mustangs to 54 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Cougars now have a 3-0 record. They play next when they host Monticello for a River Valley game on Tuesday, December 16.

With the loss, Hempstead falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Dubuque Senior (Dubuque, IA) to confront the Rams in a Mississippi Valley game on Friday, December 12.
