The Smithson Valley Rangers defeated the host Hanks Knights basketball squad by a final score of 65-57 in Saturday's non-league outing.

Next, the Rangers clash with the Alamo Heights Mules (San Antonio, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 26 outing, on Tuesday, December 9. Smithson Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Mules come into the outing with a 11-2 record after their 74-72 non-league win over Belton (Belton, TX).

With the loss, Hanks falls to 7-6 on the campaign. The Knights host El Paso (El Paso, TX) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 9. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 6-2. El Paso lost 59-51 in their recent non-league bout against Cooper (Abilene, TX)
