Myers Park Mustangs (Charlotte, NC) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC), 72-65 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Myers Park advances its record to 3-3 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC) to meet the Mavericks in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 9. The Mavericks enter the match with a record of 4-1. Marvin Ridge won 59-22 in their recent non-league match against Great Falls (Great Falls, SC)

The Buccaneers now own a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Swansboro for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 9. Laney will battle a Pirates team coming off a 76-55 non-league win over Ashley (Wilmington, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 5-0.
