Texas High School Basketball - Brazosport overwhelms Wharton
December 7, 2021: Freeport, TX 77541 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Brazosport Exporters (Freeport, TX) and the visiting Wharton Tigers (Wharton, TX), saw Brazosport's basketball squad wallop Wharton by a count of 72-50.
With the victory, Brazosport upgrades its record to 2-4 on the campaign. The Exporters host Needville (Needville, TX) to play the Bluejays in a 4A Region IV District 25 challenge on Friday, December 17. The Bluejays come into the challenge with a record of 0-8.
Next up, the Tigers play the Crystal City Javelinas (Crystal City, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 9. Wharton will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Javelinas come into the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 65-63 non-league win over Winn (Eagle Pass, TX).
