The Park Center Pirates (Brooklyn Park, MN) basketball nipped the visiting Edina Hornets (Edina, MN), 66-61 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Pirates (1-0) will now prepare for their test against DeLaSalle (Minneapolis, MN). The Islanders go into the non-league test with a 3-0 record. In their last test, DeLaSalle got by St. Thomas Academy (Mendota Heights, MN), 82-50, in a league test.

The Hornets now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Chanhassen for a AAAA Section 2 test on Thursday, December 9. Edina will encounter a Storm squad coming off a 70-57 non-league win over Holy Family Catholic (Victoria, MN). The Storm record now stands at 1-0.
