Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Prince Edward County Eagles (Farmville, VA), 60-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Halifax County upgrades its record to 1-2 on the season. The Comets host Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA) to clash with the Trojans in a Piedmont bout on Friday, December 10. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 3-1. Tunstall won 74-31 in their recent non-league bout against Gretna (Gretna, VA)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Cumberland Dukes (Cumberland, VA) in a James River bout, on Friday, December 10. Prince Edward County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Dukes go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 71-36 non-league loss to Altavista Combined School (Altavista, VA).
