South Lamar Stallions (Millport, AL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Lamar County Bulldogs (Vernon, AL), 64-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, South Lamar upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Stallions host Pickens County (Reform, AL) to play the Tornadoes in a 1A Area 9 bout on Friday, December 10. The Tornadoes go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Red Bay Tigers (Red Bay, AL) in a 2A Area 10 bout, on Thursday, December 9. Lamar County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 5-3 record after their 66-37 league win over Sulligent (Sulligent, AL).
