December 7, 2021: Gallup, NM 87301 The Belen Eagles basketball team (Belen, NM), was nudged 47-46 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Gallup Bengals (Gallup, NM)
The Bengals now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Pius X for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 9. Gallup will battle a Sartans team coming off a 37-29 non-league loss to Los Alamos (Los Alamos, NM). The Sartans record now stands at 2-1.
The Eagles (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Del Norte (Albuquerque, NM). The Knights come into the non-league battle with a 1-1 record. In their last battle, Del Norte edged Manzano (Albuquerque, NM), 56-24, in a non-league battle.
