Virginia High School Basketball - Abingdon fells Richlands
December 7, 2021: Richlands, VA 24641 Abingdon Falcons (Abingdon, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Richlands Blue Tornado (Richlands, VA), 50-37 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Abingdon upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Falcons host Tennessee (Bristol, TN) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 9. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 1-8. Tennessee lost 78-27 in their recent non-league bout against Central (Norton, VA)
Next up, the Blue Tornado play the Honaker Tigers (Honaker, VA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 8. Richlands will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 62-42 non-league loss to Ridgeview (Clintwood, VA).
