December 7, 2021: Metamora, IL 61548 Peoria Notre Dame Irish (Peoria, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Metamora Redbirds (Metamora, IL), 46-45 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Peoria Notre Dame upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Irish host Pontiac (Pontiac, IL) to clash with the Indians in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 9. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 1-6. Pontiac lost 70-45 in their recent non-league bout against Normal West (Normal, IL)
Next up, the Redbirds clash with the Limestone Rockets (Bartonville, IL) in a Mid-Illini bout, on Thursday, December 9. Metamora will attempt to upgrade on its 6-1 season record. The Rockets go into the bout with a 4-6 record after their 43-40 league win over Canton (Canton, IL).
