Oregon High School Basketball - Willamette tops South Eugene
December 7, 2021: Eugene, OR 97401 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Willamette Wolverines (Eugene, OR) and the host South Eugene Axe (Eugene, OR), saw Willamette's basketball squad knock off South Eugene by a tally of 54-36.
With the victory, Willamette improves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Thurston (Springfield, OR) to play the Colts in a 5A Midwestern challenge on Tuesday, December 21. The Colts come into the challenge with a record of 1-3.
Next up, the Axe play the South Salem Saxons (Salem, OR) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 10. South Eugene will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Saxons come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 52-45 non-league loss to Tigard (Tigard, OR).
