New Mexico High School Basketball - Belen ripped by Gallup
December 7, 2021: Gallup, NM 87301 The Gallup Bengals basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Belen Eagles to 33 in the Bengals non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Bengals now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Pius X for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 9. Gallup will battle a Sartans team coming off a 57-48 non-league win over Los Alamos (Los Alamos, NM). The Sartans record now stands at 4-0.
The Eagles (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Varsity Opponent (, ). The enter the non-league contest with a 10-13 record. In their last contest, Varsity Opponent was routed by Environmental Charter (Lawndale, CA), 38-27, in a non-league contest.
