December 7, 2022: Albuquerque, NM 87108 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM) and the host Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM), saw Sandia's basketball squad wallop Highland by a tally of 69-47.
With the victory, Sandia improves its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Matadors travel to Rio Rancho (Rio Rancho, NM) to play the Rams in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 12. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 5-1. Rio Rancho won 73-29 in their recent non-league challenge against Valencia (Los Lunas, NM)
Next up, the Hornets play the La Cueva Bears (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 9. Highland will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 83-73 non-league win over Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM).
