In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Howard Hawks basketball team scored a decisive 50-27 triumph over the Atlanta Area School for the Deaf Panthers.

In their next game, the Hawks meet the Georgia-Cumberland Academy Jaguar (Calhoun, GA) in a Freelance match, on Thursday, January 5. Howard will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Jaguar enter the match with a 0-2 record after their 57-22 non-league loss to Collegedale Academy (Collegedale, TN).
