The North Buncombe Black Hawks basketball team (Weaverville, NC), was overwhelmed 35-10 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC)

The Mustangs now possess a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pisgah for a non-league battle on Friday, December 9. Smoky Mountain will confront a Bears team coming off a 62-32 non-league win over Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC). The Bears record now stands at 4-0.
