Hays Hawks (Buda, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Alief Hastings Bears (Houston, TX), 43-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hays upgrades its record to 6-5 on the season. The Hawks travel to Tuloso-Midway (Corpus Christi, TX) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 7. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 5-5. Tuloso-Midway won 85-76 in their recent non-league bout against Rockport-Fulton (Rockport, TX)
