December 7, 2023: Austin, TX 78681 The Elgin Wildcats basketball team scored 49 points and held the host Austin Royals HomeSchool Royals to 26 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Wildcats now sport a 9-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Manor New Tech for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 7. Elgin will meet a team coming off a 87-78 non-league win over Chaparral (Killeen, TX). The record now stands at 5-4.
The Royals (2-8) will now prepare for their contest against Taylor (Taylor, TX). The Ducks enter the non-league contest with a 2-10 record. In their last contest, Taylor was routed by Gateway College Preparatory (Georgetown, TX), 69-66, in a non-league contest.
