December 7, 2023: Wheeler, TX 79096 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Christ the King Cathedral Golden Lions (Lubbock, TX) and the host Kelton Lions (Wheeler, TX), saw Christ the King Cathedral's basketball squad wallop Kelton by a tally of 60-20.
With the victory, Christ the King Cathedral improves its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Golden Lions host Southland (Southland, TX) to battle the Eagles in a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 12. The Eagles come into the contest with a record of 0-4. Southland lost 55-43 in their recent non-league contest against Kress (Kress, TX)
The Lions (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against Follett (Follett, TX). The Panthers come into the 1A Region I District 1 contest with a 6-1 record.
