December 7, 2023: Lufkin, TX 75901 The Lufkin Panthers basketball team scored 66 points and held the visiting College Station Cougars to 42 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Panthers now sport a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Humble for a non-league contest on Friday, December 8. Lufkin will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 65-54 non-league win over Port Neches-Groves (Port Neches, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-5.
The Cougars (10-2) will now prepare for their contest against Port Neches-Groves (Port Neches, TX). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Port Neches-Groves was routed by Humble (Humble, TX), 65-54, in a non-league contest.
