Louisiana High School Basketball - Covington crushes Pearl River
December 7, 2023: Covington, LA 70433 Covington Lions (Covington, LA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Pearl River Rebels (Pearl River, LA), 79-58 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Covington upgrades its record to 2-6 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Lakeshore (Mandeville, LA) to play the in a non-league bout on Friday, December 8. The come into the bout with a record of 6-3. Lakeshore won 58-44 in their recent non-league bout against Northlake Christian (Covington, LA)
Next up, the Rebels play the Pope John Paul II Jaguars (Slidell, LA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 11. Pearl River will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Jaguars come into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 57-37 non-league win over Abramson (New Orleans, LA).
