December 7, 2023: Wabeno, WI 54566 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Wabeno/Laona Rebels (Wabeno, WI) and the visiting Elcho Hornets (Elcho, WI), saw Wabeno/Laona's basketball squad wallop Elcho by a tally of 80-50.
With the victory, Wabeno/Laona improves its record to 2-5 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Florence (Florence, WI) to play the Bobcats in a Northern Lakes challenge on Monday, December 11. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 4-0. Florence won 78-42 in their recent league challenge against Goodman-Pembine (Goodman, WI)
Next up, the Hornets play the Lena Wildcats (Lena, WI) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 9. Elcho will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 85-76 league loss to Saint Thomas Aquinas (Marinette, WI).
