Rising Sun Tigers (North East, MD) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Harford Christian (Darlington, MD), 45-28 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Rising Sun upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Tigers host Joppatowne (Joppa, MD) to play the Mariners in a Upper Chesapeake Bay - Susquehana bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Mariners come into the bout with a record of 0-2. Joppatowne lost 58-47 in their recent non-league bout against Patterson Mill (Bel Air, MD)

Next up, the play the North Harford Hawks (Pylesville, MD) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 11. Harford Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Hawks come into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 81-37 non-league loss to Havre de Grace (Havre de Grace, MD).
